Why Do Mothers Need Mindfulness?

Because with motherhood comes a vulnerability and a dramatic shift as you give birth to not only your child but to a beautifully new version of yourself.

Because it is absolutely essential to a woman’s pregnancy and post partum health.

Because sometimes labor and delivery don’t go the way you planned or imagined.

Because like 70 to 80% of women, you may suffer from at minimum, the baby blues, or post partum depression, post partum anxiety, or post partum rage.

Because sometimes motherhood can be incredibly hard.

Because mothers can experience the severity of incredible highs and the isolating lows.

Because as long and hard as the days can sometimes be, you just want time to slow down so you can remember every moment.

Because 87% of mothers feel guilty at some point, with 21% feeling this way most or all of the time.

It is vital that you nourish yourself, and replenish all that you are giving to everyone around you, by taking care of your own mental health.

It can help you see the bigger picture rather than focusing on the more minor details.

Mindfulness can help you tap in and connect to your own incredible intuition.

It can teach you the importance of finding a pause before reaction; learning emotional reactivity can make a world of difference.

Because our children are looking to us, looking up to us, and if they could see us doing this, what beautiful change could they create for themselves and everyone who comes from them?

Because whatever kind of mother you are or want to be, a mindfulness practice can help you.

It can give you the power and the tools to transform your life, heal yourself, and bring more joy to the present moment.

Because…You deserve it.

A mindfulness and meditation practice can seem overwhelming, especially when you have such little time for your own pursuits, Mama. It is our hope to provide you with real applicable tools and ways to encorporate little mindful moments into your day to help you find balance and peace.  In addition to our magazine of collective wisdom, soak up some wisdom with resources specifically tailored to your busy life!
